I am a very experienced teacher in primary and secondary classrooms. I specialize in English, history, study skills, revision, exam technique, SEN, and gifted and talented students. I help my students and their parents to relax and feel confident in my abilities by asking them about what worries them most at school. Then, I devise a program of lessons to address these concerns. I use a positive approach by looking at what students can do well and the strategies they already have in learning, and then building upon them. Additionally, I identify what is missing in their learning that prevents them from reaching their maximum potential, and fill any "gaps" in their skill set. Read less
